The Montessori School for Young Children’s Toddler Program for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years of age has two schedule options. Our morning-only Toddler Program is offered from 8:45 am – 11:45 am, Monday through Friday. Children may be enrolled for a three, four, or five-morning schedule though it is strongly encouraged for a child to be enrolled five mornings to fully benefit from the Montessori methods. The Montessori School for Young Children also offers a full-day Toddler Program from 8:45 am – 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday. Children may be enrolled for a three, four, or five-full-day schedule.
In our Toddler Program, a young child naturally transitions from physical and emotional stages of development to a cognitive phase of learning. Students are presented with lessons and activities that foster fine and gross motor skills and that teach the care of the environment and oneself. It is an environment that’s rich in structure and organization for pre-academic learning.
Safety is a priority in all our classes! Our Toddler Program East Campus class has a student-teacher ratio of 13:3 and our West Campus class has a student-teacher ratio of 17:4 in the mornings. Our full-day toddler program has a student-teacher ratio of 16:4. East Campus Directress, Miss Beth is assisted each morning by Miss Rosalva and Miss Sharon. West Campus Directress, Miss Lisa is assisted each morning by Miss Horaa, Miss Marta, and Miss Olivia. Our afternoon team of assistant teachers includes Miss Marta, Miss Horaa, and Miss Arastania. There is typically a 2-year wait for a child to be enrolled in this program. Please submit a Wait List Application and its $25 fee to the Montessori School for Young Children office as early as possible for your child to be considered.
