Our Story
Founded in 1978 with a single classroom, the Montessori School for Young Children has flourished into a growing community with two buildings and five classrooms. From those humble beginnings, we’ve expanded our reach and impact, guided by a steadfast commitment to Montessori principles.
Alongside our comprehensive Montessori curriculum, we enrich our students’ experiences with specialized programs including music enrichment with a licensed music therapist and Spanish instruction, fostering holistic development and cultural appreciation.
With a commitment to nurturing curious minds and empowering lifelong learners, we continue to evolve and grow, guided by the timeless principles of Montessori education. As a non-profit institution, we are deeply rooted in our mission to provide accessible, high-quality Montessori education to children in our community.
Our Campuses
Nestled in the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska, our Montessori campuses offer a unique educational experience for children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years.
Situated side by side, our campuses provide a seamless transition for families with multiple children, fostering a sense of community and convenience.
Our Montessori campuses boast a unique feature that sets us apart: a sprawling, 15,500+ square foot outdoor classroom designed by Nature Explore. This expansive outdoor space provides our students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while engaging in hands-on learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and connection with the world around them.
