Welcome to the Montessori School for Young Children! Thank you for your interest in learning more about Montessori education and the Montessori School for Young Children community.
As a parent of three young children, I value the decision process a family undertakes when selecting a preschool for their child. When touring the Montessori School for Young Children as a parent more than 19 years ago, I was immediately attracted to the peaceful environment of the school and what the Montessori philosophy offered my child.
In a Montessori school, teachers act as guides, thoughtfully preparing the environment and supporting each child’s individual learning journey. Children are encouraged to explore their interests freely, with engaging materials and lessons available to spark curiosity. Within multi-age classrooms, students develop independence, build confidence, and progress at their own pace.
An important part of enrolling your child in a Montessori program is visiting the school. Please call 402-489-4366 or email the Montessori School for Young Children to check tour availability.
You can expect your tour to take about 45 minutes. Your child is invited to attend your tour. During your visit, we will discuss the best program for your child. If there are openings in the program your family desires, you will be given the opportunity to start the application process.
Our programs are often at capacity for students with an average wait of 1-2 years. I encourage you to complete a Wait List Application at your earliest convenience. You will be contacted as soon as a spot becomes available for your child in your desired program.
