The Montessori School for Young Children operates on an academic calendar, with our full programs offered for nine consecutive months. The first day of the school year typically occurs the Monday following the first day of school for Lincoln Public Schools (LPS). The start of the second semester typically starts the first or second week of January. The Montessori School for Young Children closes periodically for staff work days, holidays, and other seasonal breaks.  A majority of the dates we are closed are dates that Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) are closed.  The 2023-2024 LPS school year calendar can be found HERE.

During the months of June and July, we offer a six to eight-week morning-only Summer Enrichment Program to our students who were enrolled the previous school year. Depending on staff availability, full-day enrollment could be available for the Toddler or Preschool Program. The school is typically closed the last one or two weeks of July through the second or third week in August. For additional information about our Summer Enrichment Program please click here.
